The Wet Weather Gear Stormtrooper was a specialized variant of the Galactic Empire’s standard stormtrooper. These soldiers fought in the harsh conditions of Mimban, where relentless rain, deep mud, and difficult terrain demanded specialized equipment.
That ability to keep moving through difficult conditions defines the Wet Weather Gear Stormtroopers in Star Wars™: Legion. As a Support unit, they’re built to steadily advance toward objectives across terrain heavy battlefields. Unhindered allows them to move through difficult terrain without losing momentum. Combined with Prepared Position, which allows them to begin the battle with a Dodge token, and Low Profile, which rewards careful use of cover, the unit is well equipped to survive while steadily working its way toward key positions.

That forward pressure also makes them a natural partner for Mudtroopers. Coordinate: Imperial Mudtroopers keeps nearby Mudtroopers supplied with orders, allowing the two units to advance together while maintaining the Imperial command structure. Rather than operating as an isolated unit, Wet Weather Gear Stormtroopers can support a broader infantry advance built around maintaining momentum through difficult terrain.
Once they reach the fight, their weapons reinforce that methodical approach. Every squad is equipped with the E-11 Blaster Rifle, whose Assault 1 keyword improves the unit’s attack pool at close range and encourages them to steadily close the distance. While Bludgeon is not intended to rival dedicated melee specialists, it gives the squad a dependable option once the fighting reaches contested objectives.

Their upgrade options allow commanders to decide what kind of threat that advancing unit will present. The DLT-19 Stormtrooper adds long range firepower with Impact 1, giving the squad an option for threatening armored targets. The RT-97C Stormtrooper offers another heavy weapon for commanders who prefer consistent ranged damage. Both upgrades increase the squad’s offensive output while adding another miniature to improve its staying power.

For commanders expecting closer engagements, Gas Grenades push the unit in a different direction. With Poison 1, they continue wearing down enemy units after the initial attack, making them particularly useful once the unit has fought their way onto contested objectives or into the center of the battlefield.
Wet Weather Gear Stormtroopers reward steady pressure over sudden aggression, while advancing alongside Imperial Mudtroopers, which provides Imperial commanders a solid unit designed to keep moving and maintain pressure across challenging battlefields. They’re great for locking down objectives, too.
