In today’s transmission, we’re revisiting the Shadow Collective, specifically the Pyke Syndicate Foot Soldiers and their Capo in STAR WARS: Legion.
During the Clone Wars, the Pykes became the galaxy’s preeminent spice dealers which provided many avenues of lucrative opportunities. When those opportunities required some muscle, the syndicate would utilize their Foot Soldiers to keep their valuable shipments moving.

In game, Pyke Syndicate Foot Soldiers fill the role of a dependable unit that excels at surviving incoming fire while claiming objectives with surprising resiliency.
Independent: Dodge 1 provides an additional defensive resource when the keyword triggers, while Danger Sense 2 allows the unit to roll additional defense dice based on its Suppression. Meanwhile, Outmaneuver allows the unit to spend Dodge tokens to cancel Critical results, giving them an answer to attacks that normally bypass Dodge tokens. Finally, Self Preservation makes careful positioning and Suppression management important when checking for Panic.
Armed with their P13 Long Blasters, they provide consistent ranged fire at Range 3, while their Stun Batons offer a respectable melee option should enemies close the distance. Together, these weapons make them a strong objective holder capable of frustrating ranged opponents throughout the course of a game.
Like many Corps units in Star Wars: Legion, the Pyke Syndicate Foot Soldiers can be customized through several upgrades that allow them to specialize for different battlefield roles. The standard Pyke Syndicate Foot Soldier personnel upgrade adds another miniature to the squad while granting Cache: Aim 1, giving the unit an Aim token that can be spent when needed. This extra miniature also increases the squad’s durability, making an already resilient unit even harder to remove.

Players looking to strengthen the unit’s leadership can instead include the Pyke Syndicate Capo, who replaces the unit leader with a more capable officer. The Capo increases the unit’s Courage by 1 while granting Independent: Surge 1, providing another resource to keep them chugging along.

The Electro-Whip Soldier gives the squad a dangerous melee weapon capable of applying Immobilize 1 and Suppressive, making it an effective deterrent against enemy units attempting to engage the Pykes in close combat. Alternatively, the P13-M Disruptor Soldier extends the unit’s offensive reach with a ranged weapon that carries Impact 1, allowing the Pykes to more effectively threaten armored vehicles. While neither upgrade completely changes the role of the unit, each offers meaningful flexibility depending on your army composition and the threats you expect to encounter.

Pyke Syndicate Foot Soldiers capture the calculated approach of the Pyke Syndicate on the tabletop. Their layered defensive abilities allow them to weather incoming fire while continuing to contest objectives, making them a dependable unit for armies looking to hire some additional support.
Thanks for tuning it to today’s Scene-to-Stats transmission.
Till next time!
