Panel-To-Play: Jubilee & Multiple Man

10/06/2026

The mutant spotlight continues with Jubilee and Multiple Man joining Marvel: Crisis Protocol. The former brings an exciting new 2 Threat option to the X-Men, while the latter arrives with a unique approach to objectives and battlefield presence through his Duplicates.

If you missed our last Panel to Play, we took a closer look at Mirage and Havok, along with the new Leaderships they bring to the New Mutants and X-Factor.

Jubilation Lee, better known as Jubilee, discovered her mutant abilities as a teenager before eventually finding a home with the X-Men. Her powers allow her to create and detonate brilliant energy plasmoids that resemble fireworks, turning her colorful displays into something far more dangerous when the fight begins.

At 2 Threat, Jubilee also gives X-Men players a very inexpensive piece to work into their squads.

Lumikinetic Blast is a Range 4 Energy attack that gives Jubilee 1 Power after the attack resolves, with the chance to apply Stun on a Hit and Wild. When she has Power to spend, Princess of Pyrotechnics hits harder and can trigger Rapid Fire on the same combination, immediately letting her fire again at the same target.

Her Power can also be spent helping the characters around her. Fireworks allows Jubilee to spend up to 3 Power while she or an allied character within Range 2 is defending. Each Power spent allows that character to reroll one defense die.

And then there is Wolverine!

If James Logan Howlett is within Range 2 when Jubilee is targeted by an attack, he can become the target instead. It is a simple ability that captures the longstanding relationship between Jubilee and Wolverine while giving opponents another consideration before deciding where to direct an attack.

I Totally Meant To Do That! is where Jubilee becomes a little less predictable. Whenever she rolls dice and gets at least one Critical, she gains 1 Power. The catch is that she also immediately drops every objective token she is holding.

Sometimes that extra Power is exactly what she wanted, and the he extract hitting the ground, well, that may be another story.

Her Team Tactic Cards can change how opponents approach her as well. Light Up the Sky costs 2 Power during the Power Phase and lasts for the round. While Jubilee is not Dazed, enemy characters within Range 3 and Line of Sight must reroll one of their attack dice when attacking.

Then there is Blood Cursed, which presents an entirely different version of the character. Revealed during deployment, the card removes Wolverine! and gives Jubilee Cursed Instinct for the rest of the game.

After an attack targeting her is resolved, Jubilee can spend 3 Power if the attacker is within Range 3. She Places herself within Range 1 of that character and rolls 5 dice. The attacker suffers damage while Jubilee can heal based on the Critical and Wild results rolled. Giving up Wolverine’s protection is a meaningful trade, but Blood Cursed gives her a very different way to survive once the fighting starts.

Last but certainly not least is Multiple Man!

Jamie Madrox has possessed his unusual mutant ability since birth, creating duplicates of himself in response to kinetic impact. These duplicates are capable of developing thoughts and personalities of their own, something that has made Jamie’s powers as complicated as they are useful. During his time with X-Factor, he eventually established the mutant detective agency X-Factor Investigations.

Naturally, playing Multiple Man means there is rarely just one Jamie to worry about.

His Multiple Man Duplicates bring additional bodies onto the battlefield, but they work a little differently from other Grunts. Their Range 2, Strength 4 Physical attack can apply Slow on a Wild, and they can reroll up to 2 attack dice when Multiple Man is close to the target.

They are also surprisingly useful around objectives. X-Factor Investigations Workforce allows a Duplicate to interact with objective tokens without spending Power. Like Herding Cats provides the catch. A Duplicate cannot interact with or contest an objective unless another allied character is already contesting it, and getting too far away from an allied Multiple Man causes it to drop whatever objective tokens it is carrying.

In other words, the copies can do a lot of work, but Jamie still needs to keep an eye on them.

Multiple Man benefits from having those Duplicates in the right places too. His first Physical attack gains rerolls when a Duplicate is near the target, while Madrox Monkey Pile becomes a Strength 9 attack if one or more Duplicates are within Range 2 of the defender. A Wild and Hit can also leave that character Staggered.

When a Duplicate has finished its job, Jamie can literally bring it back into the fold. Duplicate Reabsorption costs 2 Power and allows Multiple Man to take an extract objective token from a Duplicate within Range 3. The Duplicate is then KO’d and Jamie removes up to 3 damage from himself.

Follow the Leads gives him another appropriately strange option, allowing Multiple Man to Throw himself Short for 2 Power.

Creating new copies can happen just as naturally. When Multiple Man suffers damage, Kinetic Duplications can Place a Multiple Man Duplicate within Range 2 if there is not already one in play. Shared Experiences then gives Jamie 1 Power whenever a nearby Duplicate deals or suffers damage.

The result is a play style that wants Jamie and his copies working as one moving puzzle across the table.

Dangerous Business gives X-Factor another useful response when the opponent attacks. Before damage is dealt, the targeted allied X-Factor character can Advance Short, potentially changing what the rest of that activation looks like.

MCP08 CrisisProtocol TacticCard 5

For a round where the Duplicates need to stop following the rules, there is Multitasking. Each allied Multiple Man Duplicate loses Like Herding Cats until the end of the round and removes one special condition. Suddenly, every Jamie is free to interact with and contest objectives without needing another allied character there to supervise.
