Databank Download – Delta Dossier: Sev & Scorch

07/30/2025

Delta Squad doesn’t pull punches, and with RC 1207 and RC 1262 on the field, they don’t need to.

Sev and Scorch are the squad’s hammer and anvil. One is a silent, relentless sniper. The other, a demolition expert with a flair for mayhem. Together, they form one of the most aggressive Supporting Units in Star Wars™: Shatterpoint, clocking in at 5 squad points with 8 stamina and 2 durability. A premium investment, but a potent one.

Their Tactics Ability, Point Me at the Enemy and Stay Out of My Way, kicks things off with momentum. At the start of their activation, each character in the unit may Dash toward an enemy, helping Sev and Scorch press forward early and stay on the offensive.

Once they are in range, YES! More Explosives! does exactly what you’d expect. For 1 Force, you choose an enemy within Range 3 and roll five attack dice. For every Expertise result, that unit suffers 1 damage, and if at least one gets through, the target also gains Strain, which tees them up for even more potential hurt.

That follow-up may come even faster than expected, thanks to Rule 17: Always Make Sure They’re Dead. After another allied Galactic Republic unit makes a combat action within Range 3, Sev or Scorch can Dash, then make a 5-die attack against the same target, provided it is still in line of sight. Whether used to finish off a wounded enemy or apply pressure mid turn, it is a brutal way to double down.

Defensively, they are fairly sturdy. I Love My Job grants both Protection and Steadfast while contesting Active objectives, meaning they take less damage and ignore the first shove from attacks. For a pair known for chaos, they are quite hard to dislodge once in position.

Their stance card splits into two distinct trees, hinting at which commando is taking the lead. The top path maxes out at 5 damage, delivering a pair of Recovers, a Shove, and two conditions, Strain and Expose, to weaken the enemy and support the squad. The bottom path pushes harder, reaching 6 damage with multiple Shoves and a clean, efficient spread of results to maximize impact. You get a climb, too.

Offensively, their expertise is excellent, particularly at range, where they scale into turning enemy blocks into failures while still gaining successes. In melee, their 6 attack dice and solid expertise make them dangerous up close, though slightly less durable with just 4 defense dice.

Sev and Scorch may be wild cards, but on the tabletop, they are anything but reckless. Their synergy, aggression, and momentum make them one of the most explosive units in the game. Literally.
