AdeptiCon 2026 Atomic Mass Games Event Teaser

01/28/2026

With AdeptiCon 2026 just around the corner, there is a flurry of activity here at Atomic Mass Games as we all band together to prepare for one of the biggest events of the year! Many of our preparations revolve around planning, scheduling, and fabricating components for the various leagues and events we are hosting throughout the weekend.

Tournaments are a huge part of AdeptiCon every year. Seeing so many players gather for their chance at winning Worlds is always exhilarating and the sportsmanship and competitive spirit they showcase are inspiring. These events are a huge draw for our communities, but we also always strive to create fun and exciting offerings for the players that are not competing in Worlds as well.

Today we’re taking a closer look at many of the non-Worlds Atomic Mass Games events across all our game lines to help you plan your perfect AdeptiCon weekend.

Marvel: Crisis Protocol players can look forward to our Timeline Tournament, a Teams Tournament, Affiliation Battles, a special “What If…” event, and the Chronal Chaos league!

We’ve already shared the details about this year’s Timeline Event, Multiversal Chaos, in a previous transmission which you can find here. In the Teams Tournament, pair up with your trusty sidekick to play a series of 2v2 games using modified roster construction rules and unique crisis objectives. In addition to standard prizes and awards, the Teams Tournament also features awards for Best Team Theme, Team Spirit, and Best Team Display.

The Affiliation Battles and “What If…” events each add unique roster building experiences to shake up your list building experience. In Affiliation Battles you can only add characters to your Roster that share a chosen affiliation, while “What If…” features a character draft to determine the Roster you’ll play throughout the event!

Players who sign up for the Chronal Chaos League will receive a Chronal Deck that they can use in their games for the convention-long weekend event.  Chronal Cards add a layer of fun and excitement to the game by providing unique superpowers to play for a limited time. As certain game conditions are met, a Time Warp is triggered and a new Chronal Card is drawn from the deck to replace the previous card. Best of all, up to three games per day can be reported at our Event HQ to earn tickets for the prize wall, and players will take their Chronal Deck home so that they can continue to use it in their games in the future (and perhaps the past?).

For Star WarsTM: Shatterpoint, you can participate in the Key Operation Con-Paign league, Legendary Encounters, a Team Premiere Showdown, the Adversaries to Allies event, or enjoy a special “sneak peek” session of our new multiplayer format, Battles on the Sand.

Con-Paign invites players to play Key Operations games over the course of the convention in a unique campaign system designed specifically for play at this kind of multi-day gaming event. Players play up to twelve games total split between the roles of Aggressor and Sentinel. Each role has a separate progression path, giving every game weight and influence over a player’s overall campaign experience. Each player will also receive cards for an event exclusive Advantage Pack for use in all their Key Operations games. Up to three games per day can be reported for prize tickets to be spent at the Prize Wall.

The Adversaries to Allies event introduces unique restrictions when choosing your squads, as you must choose characters from different categories as detailed in the Adepticon event packet.

The special “sneak peak” event, Battles on the Sand, pits up to four players against one another in a unique struggle for ultimate victory. Players add new cards to their Order Decks that provide benefits for a pre-determined ally and must carefully choose their targets and control the battlefield to win the game. Tenuous alliances and careful planning will be in no short order, since only one player can rise to the top and be named the victor. Components specific to the format will be provided for the duration of the event.

Star Wars: Legion has some truly massive offerings this year! This includes the Full-Scale War Playtest events, Galaxy at War league, Special Operations and Recon events, a doubles tournament, and much more.
Our Full-Scale War Playtest events bring together a few lucky players to share a playtest session with us, focused on large-scale battles in Star Wars: Legion. Testers will bring a 2000-point army to face off against their opponent in an incredibly exciting game, under the watchful eyes and guidance of the Game Developers, as they learn and play through the new rules and systems for Full-Scale War.

Throughout the session and after their games, testers will be invited to share their feedback on the format and the experience. This feedback will help our development team as we move into our late stages of development and finish the format for wider release. All format-specific components will be provided for the duration of these events.

Lastly, but certainly not least, Atomic Mass Games will be hosting a Galaxy at War league for Star Wars: Legion! Galaxy at War is possibly the largest and most ambitious convention league event we have ever run. Specifically designed as an interactive event for convention-level play, Galaxy at War asks players to pledge themselves to a faction for the entirety of the event.

As players report games over the weekend, they will earn various resource stickers that can be spent alongside those from other players in your faction to unlock global bonuses and rewards. Players choose how to allocate their resources on their faction’s specific tracking poster, unlocking new rules and Command Cards for their faction as they collectively reach specific thresholds.

Collaboration with your fellow commanders will ensure that your faction receives a steady stream of perks, and prizes, to pave your way to galactic dominance. Up to three games can be reported per day for prize tickets to be spent at the Prize Wall.

Galaxy at War is completely compatible with Tours of Duty, so players can continue their stories even as they play through this event at the convention. We will even have an all new Tours of Duty Story Arc available for players who want to add that additional gameplay layer to their experience!

That wraps up our AdeptiCon Event Teaser! Whether your passion is for competitive tournament gaming or casual league matches, we have a gaming event at AdeptiCon to suit your tastes. AdeptiCon 2026 is going to be one to remember and we can’t wait to see every one of you on the show floor this March in Milwaukee!

Until next time, Atomic Mass Games signing off!
