A Message to Our Community

09/06/2023

We are just under a week away from one of our favorite times of year at Atomic Mass Games, Ministravaganza. No other event gives us at Atomic Mass Games as much opportunity to interact directly with the communities of our games, sharing our excitement and behind the scenes look at some of the big things coming on the horizon. One of the best things about the event is how it lets everyone on staff participate, whether on camera or in the chats during the streams. It is with this in mind that we wanted to take a moment and remind everyone of expectations when it comes to interacting with both staff and other members of the various communities both at the upcoming Ministravaganza and in general, everyday communication.

While Atomic Mass Games is founded on the goal to create incredible games that bring fun to as many people as possible, we know the age old truth that you can never make everyone happy all the time. There will always be a place for constructive criticism in the discourse between us and the communities of our games. We actively work to take all feedback, both positive and negative, into internal discussions as we continue to work to be the best studio we can be.

However, we will not tolerate any action or comments that move beyond constructive criticism and instead push into the realm of personal attacks, willful ruining of other people’s fun and enjoyment, or that violate any of our other community guidelines. Actions that violate our safety and moderation rules will result in swift removal from AMG spaces both online and in person at live events. There is no place for hate or hurtful speech ever in our communities. Additionally, no one has the right to ruin other people’s enjoyment regardless of their personal feelings or issues with the studio, its games, or other community members.

AMG remains firmly committed to keeping our communities a pillar of friendly and welcoming conversation and discourse around the games that have brought us together, and to remain engaged and active among those communities in order to ensure their continued health and growth. We can’t wait to see all of you next week for three days of Ministravaganza!
