Like other insectoid species, Geonosian warriors have a sturdy exoskeleton that protects them from injury and, when outgunned, Geonosians rely on their great numbers to swarm attackers on the battlefield and are quick to retreat underground if needed to delay invaders.

Advanced Recon Force troopers are usually found scouting enemy positions before a decisive attack. They are valuable assets to Jedi Generals, capable of delivering accurate information without alerting the enemy to their presence. ARF trooper units are outfitted with a variety of equipment, from the DC-15A blaster to the RPS-6 Launcher and are occasionally accompanied by a Jedi Knight. Their armor allows them to move quickly across the battlefield and includes tools to help ARF units observe targets and report back to their commanders.

The AQ-series battle droid, or “Aqua Droid” is capable of fighting both on land and underwater. They are highly specialized, furnished with a retractable laser cannon and reliably well armored. When used in large groups Aqua Droids are nearly impossible to stop, persistently advancing towards their target until it is eradicated. Aqua Droids are often seen supporting surprise attacks, wading en masse out of the ocean to assault a critical point, or delivered to the frontline by a Trident-class Assault Ship where the foe is weakest.

Known as the “Muckracker”, the LM-432 Crab Droid is a four-legged battle droid that thrives in difficult terrain. It is outfitted with heavy armor and relies on advanced optics to support Separatist armies at long range. The Crab Droid is equipped with deadly claws that are effective in melee, although historically the LM-432 is seen as vulnerable to direct assaults.
