The Star Wars: Armada World Championship continues on Saturday\, March 25\, with 20 players competing in Day 2 of the main event. Standings from the prior day will be reset\, and after four Swiss rounds\, a progression cut of the Top 8 ranking will qualify and advance to the Finals of the main event. For those who don’t qualify\, you will still be able to play and participate in the Star Wars: Armada side events. Progressive Cut Event: The top players in a Progressive Cut Event will move on to play additional games. Players qualifying for finals events are eligible to have any conflicting events refunded onsite. Task Force Battles8AM-1PM20 Player CapacityCost: $10 Task Force Battles is an additional format for playing Star Wars: Armada at smaller fleet point totals. This event allows 20 players to field a compact 200 point fleet in battle for two\, two hour rounds. See the events packet for more information. Sector Fleet Doubles9AM-6PM16 Player CapacityCost: $5 Players brave the dangers of the Maelstrom as they salvage for discarded coaxium containers along the Kessel Run in this Event Kit for Star Wars: Armada! The summa of All Things Event Pack is designed for two players or teams with players each controlling their own fleet attempting to recover as much coaxium as possible. But there are many dangers in the Maelstrom and players will have to contend with a Summa-verminoth obstacle that threatens to devour their ships in addition to their rival scavengers. This Event follows a new format for fleet building. Addtional rules for how to play will be provided to each player at the event. Each player builds a 200-point fleet following the rules for fleet building in the rules reference with the following exceptions: A fleet cannot have a flagship. Commander upgrades cannot be equipped. Fleets do not use objective cards. This scenario takes the place of objectives. A fleet must include at least four squadrons but cannot include more than two unique squadrons. Squadrons cannot make up more than 67 points (one-third) of a fleet. A fleet cannot contain a large or huge ship. A fleet cannot include more than one flotilla. Natural gas still vents from the long-abandoned facility\, valuable fuel for the war effort. Forces converge to secure these important points on the battlefield. Little do they know\, they’re not the only ones scavenging these wastes… Dynamic Exit3PM-5PM8 Player CapacityCost: $5 Forces converge on a remote storage facility under cover of darkness. The attacking forces (the blue player) have identified the most valuable items in the facility\, and must locate the specific cargo and escape. To do this\, they will need to shut down the faciliy’s defense-turret array so that a transport can extract them safely. Caught unaware\, the defensing forces (the red player) must fight to stop the attackers at all costs and keep their defenses online…
